They do this for safety reasons, because otherwise even a small accident or a harsh break could seriously injure a child.
Dogs are very much a member of the family and for most of us, they are just as important as a child would be.
This is why we want our dogs to be safe and healthy for as long as possible, and having a dog in your lap while driving is not safe for anyone.
Dogs should be restrained, on the back seat, with a dog harness and special designed seat belt.
Why isn’t it safe to drive with your dog on your lap?
As only 16% of people driving with proper safety restraints, we learned that this causes the animal to fall, and become badly hurt, or that they lead to accidents by interfering with driving.
So, if you want to keep your dog safe, and to drive in a safe manner, you should always use proper safety restraints.
